SHIRT NERDS

What shirt is this?

Photograph a shirt you cannot name — in a shop, at a meetup, in somebody else's photo — and we will find it in 6,426 RSVLTS designs.

An example of what comes back

A shortlist, never one answer. Measured on real photographs, the right shirt is first 43% of the time and somewhere in the top ten 91% of the time — so showing a single confident guess would be wrong nearly six times in ten. You pick.

  1. Step 1 of 4

    Off the hanger

Lay it flat somewhere plain — a floor, a bed, a table — with nothing else in the frame. No hangers, no other clothes.

This one matters more than all the rest put together.

  2. Step 2 of 4

    The whole shirt

Get all of it in frame rather than zooming in on the print. We match against full-shirt photos, so a close-up of the pattern gives us less to go on.

  3. Step 3 of 4

    Give it some light

Room light is fine, daylight is better. Avoid flash — it blows out the colors we compare against.

  4. Step 4 of 4

    One at a time

Just the shirt you want named. Two in frame means we have to guess which one you meant — and we will guess wrong.
