Tahitian Tiki: RSVLTS collabs with two Tahitian tattoo artists
RSVLTS brought in Tahitian tattoo artists James Maitera Mylle and Julio Taerea for this one, which they're calling a first for them. The backstory comes from Ian Glaubinger's week in Tahiti last July, where he got inked and met both artists. Taerea works out of Mana'o Tattoo Studios in Papeete. One of the shirts, Taerea Tatau, carries his name.
For collection purposes, this is a wide spread rather than a button-up run. Eight pieces: two KUNUFLEX shirts, two crewneck tees, a bamboo short sleeve, resort shorts, hybrid shorts, and a TLB hat. The Spirit of Polynesia exists as both the bamboo shirt and the resort shorts, so a full set is on the table if that's your thing. Bamboo and hybrid shorts together is unusual breadth for a single story.
